Acts chapter 6 tells us why the first deacons were selected. Deacons at Faith Bible Church are men who are selected by the Elders to serve the church. Our job is to take care of physical needs in the church body and our facilities.  We concentrate our ministry on helping widows, the elderly or others in need.  In addition, we take care of the facilites and campus, and help manage the finances of the church.  This allows the Pastors and Elders to focus on the spiritual needs and direction of Faith Bible Church.

Deacons serve a three year term on the board, and then take a sabbatical. While serving on the board, each deacon is assigned to a task team.  Task teams are responsible for monitoring various ministries or assets of the church.  Once a task team identifies a need, it is brought before the deacon board to determine the best direction to take.
