GOD IS OUR COMFORT

Isaiah 41:17-43:13
There is a lot of material in this passage so I will be cherry picking some verses to discuss rather than trying to cover the whole passage. First, in 43:1, God tells us, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are Mine!” I don’t know about you, but that statement brings a sense of and comfort to reassurance me.

Then, in verses 3-5a, “For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place. Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for life. Do not fear for I am with you.”  God tells us here that He loves us and that we should not fear because He is with us.

And finally, in verses 10-13, “You are my witnesses,’ declares the Lord, ‘And My servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there is no God formed, And there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, And there is no savior besides Me. It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses,” declares the Lord. “And I am God, Even from eternity I am He; And there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?” I believe that He is who He is! Our God is God! And I believe Him when He says that there is “no one that can deliver out of His hand!”  We are eternally secure in Him! It doesn’t get any better that that! Amen!
