THANK YOU TO THE LORD MY GOD

Psalm 103: 1-5 "Praise the Lord, O my soul and all that is in me Praise his Holy name. Praise the Lord, My soul and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s." NIV

When I rise from my rest in the morning, before I sleep at night my Lord deserves my thanks.  The Lord has been testing many of us as we have gone through trials of many kinds of illnesses.  Through the trials of physical illness, healing, and undetermined solutions, I have learned to be more thankful for all the Lord has shown me in the stillness of my heart. Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."  

This is a blog of my thankfulness.

Thank you, Lord, that you kept me in perfect peace as I slept last night,

Thank you, Lord, that you caused me to awaken this morning without an alarm.

Thank you, Lord that you brought me to this day by many blessings and trials which have helped me to hear your voice more clearly.

Thank you, Lord, for my family and how they have been there for me by praying to you oh, Lord and encouraging me in my time of trouble.

Thank you, Lord for Faith Bible Church who has prayed for me, sent me cards, provided transportation, sent words of love and encouragement, verbally and through texts. And thank you for Sue Lord who delivers the prayer concerns of our congregation to us.

Thank you, Lord for my friends who have also been by my side in the hospital, the emergency rooms, and lifted up prayers on my behalf.

Thank you, Lord for answering my prayers as I have prayed for others to be healed in our body of believers and those friends that have made known their prayer needs.

Thank you, Lord for the doctors & medical staff that you have surrounded me with for the last nine months unto this day.

Thank you, Lord that my faith has remained in you my refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1

Thank you. Lord that never let me forget the benefits of your provisions for my salvation through you Son, Jesus the Christ.

Thank you, for the 3–4-year-old Sunday School class’s prayers for me.  These children have always been a blessing to my soul, so I thank you for them and how you are drawing them unto yourself. Thank you for their parents and their love for them. Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, 'Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.'"

Thank you, Lord for your provisions, protection, forgiveness of my sins, your revelation about who you are daily & your love.

Thank you, Lord for going ahead of me in my thoughts and answering the desires of my heart within hours. Psalm 37:4 NIV "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

Thank you, Lord for saying no to me when it is not in my best interest for you to say yes. Jeremiah 29: 11 NIV “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to proper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

Thank you, Lord for how you are transforming me as I grow nearer to you.  NKJ “ Come near to God and he will come near to you.  Wash your hands, you sinner, and purify your heart, you double-minded.”

Thank you, Lord that I was tested and know that I can trust you in all things for you have continually shown yourself faithful.  Zephaniah 3:17 "The Lord you God is with you, the mighty warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing."  Proverbs 3: 5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all you ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." NIV

Thank you, Lord for sending you angels to save my physical life when I had no idea that I would need you.  Psalm 91:11-12 "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone." NIV

Thank you, Lord, for being my shield from the enemy.  Psalm 18:35-36 "You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great.  You provide a broad path for my feet so that my ankles do not give way." NIV

Thank you, Lord for replacing preachers of your Word, who are now with you in heaven with new family members who have been called to preach the Word of God. NIV  Isaiah 55:11 "so is my word that goes out from my mouth; It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

Thank you, Lord for the time that you have given me to sincerely focus on your goodness to me until this day. At the age of 8 years, by the grace of God I was saved, in Longview, Texas, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Pastor Coombs. You delivered me in advance from future trials that could have caused me to sin, and the sins that I committed and commit today.  You gave your son, Jesus, to rescue me from the bondage of sin and I thank you. You sent Paul to share the message of Salvation to the Gentiles and I thank you. Thank you that he to prayed for me in the future.  Ephesians 3

Thank you, Lord for your mercy toward me as I grew in my faith as a young adult.
 
Thank you, Lord that I can love others as you have loved me. Matthew 22:36-40 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. And the second ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." NIV

Thank you, God for being my Father and Husband after you took the husband of 38 years to be with you.

Thank you, Jesus, that you are a Friend, a brother, and my Savior.

Thank you, God that I can be content on this earth as a widow, because I know to whom I belong. Isaiah 54:5 "For your maker is your husband—the Lord Almighty is his name—the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth."

Thank you, Lord that you have placed women in our BSF class that are facing challenges that I have gone through and now can be an encouragement to them as they walk these paths. Psalm 107:2 "Let the redeemed of tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe," NIV

Thank you, Lord for a Spirit of worship, and that I can exalt your Holy name in praise. Psalm 100 "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."

For all these things and more, I give THANKS!
