Hebrews 10: 24-25 "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is. But exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching."

Why do we gather corporately for the purpose of public worship? We do so because we are commanded to do so by GOD. The person or family who does not attend public worship in the house of GOD is in disobedience to the command of GOD. This is an act of disobedience. This is open rebellion to the expressed will of GOD. We gather for the purpose of worship. We come together to be instructed from the HOLY Scriptures. We are commanded to grow in the Grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18. We gather to rejoice in the " so great salvation" Hebrews 2:3 given to those of us who have believed and have received the free gift of eternal salvation.

We gather for the purpose to encourage one another in the struggles of life and to pray for one another. We gather together for the public testimony of our faith. We come together for the purpose of helping others to grow in their faith and become a true disciple and follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As believers we are forgiven.  We have been pardoned of all our sins. Our sin debt has been paid. We are members of the body of Christ. We have been born into the family of GOD. We come to the house of GOD to give thanks to our Heavenly Father.

We also come for the purpose of encouraging one another to love and good works. The love of Christ is shed abroad in our midst. We feel love and acceptance within the church, the body of Christ. The fact that we have been delivered from the awesome wrath of GOD should motivate all of us to love and good works and to be faithful in public worship. We look forward to seeing you in the house of GOD this coming Sunday. We love you in the LORD. All praise to our great GOD and Savior Jesus Christ.
