REASONS WHY WE SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD

Psalm 146:1-2 says "Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, Oh my soul. While I live I will praise the LORD. I will sing praise unto my GOD while I have my being." We praise GOD verse 6 " because He made heaven and earth, the sea and all things therein. We praise GOD because He keeps truth forever." He is worthy of praise because He is the creator of all things. The power of GOD is unlimited. He is an awesome GOD. Psalm 95:3 says "For the LORD is a great GOD, and a great king above all GODS." Psalm 95:6 says "Oh come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD our maker." Verse 7 "For He is our GOD, and we are the sheep of His pasture."

We praise GOD because He "executes justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry, and sets free those who are prisoners to sin." Verse 8 "He opens the eyes of those who are blind, He raises up those who are bowed down because He loves those who are righteous." Verse 9 " The LORD protects and preserves the stranger. He relieves the fatherless and the widow, but He turns upside down the wicked." We can see and understand in these verses that GOD is all powerful. Not only did He create all things but He cares for and ministers to the needs of His people.

He opens our eyes spiritually to understand our great need to be forgiven and to understand that His sacrifice for sin provides salvation to those who believe. We praise Him because He meets our daily needs to have food for each day. We praise Him because He set us free from the penalty and guilt of sin through His death on the cross. We praise Him because He raised us up from spiritual death to new life in Christ.

Our GOD is a great GOD and we praise Him for His goodness and mercy forever. Psalm 146:1-2 says "Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, Oh my soul. While I live I will praise the LORD. I will sing praise unto my GOD while I have my being." Praise the LORD. When we understand the greatness of GOD and what He has done for us, what can we do but fall down on our knees and praise GOD. Oh praise the LORD.
